This is a very pertinent question to a lot of bodybuilders imbuing SARMs for the first time, so I’ve decided to clear things up with this article.
So, when do SARMs kick in?
It’s hard to say as each body is different, and we all start feeling the effects of SARMs at different times. Some people claim to feel the effects immediately, while others have to wait weeks at a time!
What many people asking the above question actually mean by it is: ‘’When will I start to feel the benefits of SARMs?’’
This makes the original question a bit imprecise, and that’s something to factor in, as we’re going to be examining every SARM individually, noting when the different effects kick in.
Factors Influencing The Time Of Onset
Before we go through each SARM and compound related to SARMs, let’s look at what factors influence the time of onset of SARMs.
The mind is an incredible powerful tool, and it can influence the body in unprecedented ways.
If you strongly believe that SARMs are going to start working the moment you take them, your mind might govern your body to make chemicals similar to the ones that would’ve been produced if it were by the effects of SARMs.
While this might be a bit of a stretch, it’s still something to consider when talking about time of onset.
Route of Administration
It’s all about bioavailability.
If you take a compound and your method of administration allows you to enjoy 100% bioavailability, it will take less time for the compound to start working in your body.
Even better would be to inject the SARMs (which I don’t recommend for other reasons).
That would allow for quicker absorption which would lead to a faster onset of effects.
Not only that, but the effects would be much stronger.
You can read more about this topic in my guide to injectable SARMs.
A higher dosage equates to more of the SARM being absorbed into the bloodstream, which leads to a faster onset of effects.
While these effects might not always be positive, as we’ll later see, they’ll be potent and that’s something to take into account before taking astronomical dosages of SARMs.
You’re likelier to experience more side effects on a higher dosage!
I think that we can all agree that this is the most important factor of them all.
It’s only natural that higher purity equates to faster onset in the body.
If your SARMs aren’t at least 98% pure, you’re probably better off searching for another vendor.
Worst of all, cases where SARMs are underdosed or completely bunk are actually very common.
That’s why I’ve decided to create a list of recommended companies that have served me well over the past six years.
They have recent lab reports, a money-back guarantee and fast shipping all over the world!
SARMs Effects Timeline
It has to be noted that this is all just speculation, nobody knows for sure what effects you will feel and when you’ll start feeling them. I can only give you some pointers from the data we have from studies and anecdotal reports, so keep that in mind.
The first thing you’ll feel with Ostarine is not the amazing muscle-building and fat shedding properties, but side effects, such as headaches and nausea.
Ostarine is often purported to be a mild SARM, but it does have a few side effects to its name and it’s notorious for causing headaches in the first week of consumption.
Some people start feeling them thirty minutes after imbuing it, while others get graced the day after.
Next thing to consider is insomnia. Ostarine might cause it a week into your cycle. It usually goes away by the second week.
It’s on week two that most people start feeling the benefits of Ostarine, such as an increase in lean muscle mass, fat, and weight loss.
From here on out, it’s smooth sailing until week six to seven, when Testosterone suppression is likely to kick in.

What makes Ligandrol special is that it usually starts working on the first day. You will feel a nice pump when going to the gym, and as the day progresses, you might even get a headache. The headache doesn’t last longer than a day, unlike with Ostarine.
Another thing to expect with Ligandrol is water retention. It will kick in at around the one-week mark. Water retention is a constant threat with Ligandrol so be sure to drink a lot of water.
Two to two and a half weeks in marks the onset of the effects you’re actually after, mainly the increase in muscle mass and strength.
Only thing you have to be careful of in the later weeks is Testosterone suppression, which can get heavy if you’re not careful.
Be sure to read my Ligandrol review for more information.
Same as with Ligandrol, an immediate improvement in the pumps you have at the gym will be noticeable.
Strength gains will kick in at around 10 to 15 days after your first dosage. The same time frame applies for muscle mass as well, the two go hand in hand.
The effects peak at around the four-week mark and gradually start subsiding until the end of your eight-week cycle.
Last thing to keep in mind is the Testosterone suppression experienced, which you will start feeling on week six and onwards.

Depending on the dosage imbued, you might be subjected to changes in vision seven to ten days after your first dosage.
Some people have issues adjusting to lightning, while others only experience vision problems at night. It’s different for everyone, so be sure that you aren’t operating any heavy machinery while imbuing Andarine.
Fat and weight loss usually start showing themselves two to three weeks into the cycle.
Vascularity becomes noticeable at the four-week mark.

YK11 ramps up aggression before anything, you will feel it on week one already. Pumps are going to be amazing and will continue to peak in intensity until week four to five.
Strength and muscle mass will really start kicking in at the three-week mark and it’s going to be more than noticeable. You will feel like you’re an entirely different being, especially in the gym.
Expect some libido loss and joint pain at the five to six-week mark.
The four SARMs mentioned above don’t even come close to matching the strength of YK11. Read more about it in my YK11 review.
You might feel some night sweats on week one, but they usually go away with proper management (remember to stay hydrated!).
Increased aggression and better pumps start showing themselves week two into your cycle.
Ten days after your first dosage, you can expect a massive increase in strength and muscle mass.
Be prepared for minor hair shedding at the five-week mark.

You will most likely feel Cardarine the moment you imbue it.
It won’t give you a buzz or anything, just a feeling that you can go on and complete three workouts at once.
Its effects peak at the one-week mark and stay that way until the end of your cycle.
Check out my Cardarine review for more information.
Hunger is the first thing that gets accentuated while on MK-677. It starts on day one and lasts anywhere between one to two weeks.
Besides hunger, you will also notice better sleep almost immediately after imbuing it.
One week into your cycle and you might start feeling a bit of anxiety and water retention.
The latter is easily combated by drinking a lot of water, while the former is more of a game in your head that you have to beat.
An increase in muscle mass and a reduction in body fat is experienced at around the two-week mark and remains stable throughout your cycle.
Learn how to combat the side effects of this compound and much more in my MK-677 review.
Just like Cardarine, Stenabolic starts working immediately after the first dosage. You will start noticing increased energy and endurance thirty minutes after imbuing it.
If you take it after 5pm, the increased wakefulness might lead to sleep issues.
Stenabolic peaks at the one-week mark, its intensity remaining steady for the entire duration of your cycle.
Learn everything you need to know about this compound in my Stenabolic review.
We’ve seen that the question ‘When do SARMs kick in’ doesn’t have a definite answer.
It’s all relative due to our innate differences.
If there is anything to learn from this article, it’s to keep your dosages low as more doesn’t always mean better!
